Instructions
In a medium saucepan, whisk together the water and cornstarch until smooth.

2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
Add the sugar, white vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, and optional brown sugar.
½ Cup White Sugar,
1/3 Cup White Vinegar,
3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce,
1 Tablespoon Ketchup,
Optional: 1–2 teaspoons brown sugar
Place over medium heat and bring to a gentle boil, whisking continuously.
Continue cooking for a few minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
The sauce will continue to thicken a bit as it cools.
