Instructions
Mix the Glue and Shaving Cream. In a separate container, combine 1 cup of white glue with 2 cups of shaving cream. Stir gently until the mixture is smooth and fluffy. If you’re using food coloring, add a few drops and mix until you reach the desired color.
1 Cup White School Glue, 2 Cups Shaving Cream
Add the Cornstarch. Sprinkle in 1/4 cup of cornstarch and mix thoroughly. The cornstarch helps give the slime its cloud-like texture and adds a bit more stretch.
1/4 Cup Cornstarch
Incorporate the Laundry Starch. Slowly pour in the liquid laundry starch, about 1 tablespoon at a time, while stirring. You’ll notice the mixture starting to come together as the slime forms. Continue adding starch until the slime pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
1 Cup Liquid Laundry Starch
Knead for the Perfect Consistency. Remove the slime from the bowl and knead it with your hands until it has the perfect, fluffy texture. If it’s too sticky, add a little bit more starch. Knead the slime by hand for about 1 minute to fully activate it.
The slime should feel soft and stretchy almost like a play dough. The slime should feel slightly rough and should not stick to your fingers. If it does, add a bit more starch until the slime turns into a fluffy, non-sticky mess like the picture. It's possible to overwork cloud slime. If you knead it too much or for too long, it can become more dense and less fluffy. To avoid this, try to knead it just enough to incorporate all the ingredients and achieve the desired texture. If it starts to feel too sticky or dense, you can add a bit more liquid starch or cornstarch to restore the fluffiness.
