Materials
- 1 Cup White Sugar
- ½ Cup Olive Oil or swap ½ with sweet almond or jojoba oil for a neutral scent
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Zest optional: omit zest for longer shelf life
- 5 Drops Lemon Essential Oil
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the sugar and lemon zest (if using).1 Cup White Sugar, 1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Zest
- Stir in the olive oil and honey until fully blended.½ Cup Olive Oil, 1 Tablespoon Honey
- Add the lemon essential oil, and if you like, vanilla extract and calendula for a giftable version. (see notes)5 Drops Lemon Essential Oil
- Transfer the scrub into a clean 8 oz glass jar and seal with a lid.
Notes
Tip. If using the zest-free variation for longer shelf life, the volume is essentially the same, just slightly less texture from the zest.
Optional for gifting. ½ teaspoon vanilla extract + a pinch of dried calendula petals
