I’ve been making this homemade playdough recipe for my toddler for quite some time now, and it's become a favorite activity in our house. Not only is it a fun recipe that we can whip up in no time, but it's also a great way to bond with my little one.

There are two ways to make this dough. The stove top method outlined in the directions is one way. Here is another.Using Boiling Water. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, salt, and cream of tartar. Add the vegetable oil to the boiling water, and slowly pour it into the dry mixture, stirring until a dough forms. Once the dough starts to cool slightly, knead it on a floured surface until smooth and pliable.I prefer the stove top method as I am assured that the dough will not be too sticky.
